One UI 4.0 has been available as a public beta since September, but this update promises to be more stable than previous versions. Samsung has announced it's rolling out the official build of One UI 4.0 for the Galaxy 21, S21+, and S21 Ultra smartphones starting today. There are many differences between One UI and stock Android, including a unique lock screen, larger app icons with more rounded corners, as well as Samsung’s own suite of apps. The devices arrived in January of this year running One UI 3.1, a build of Android 11 that features multiple Samsung customizations. Samsung has a long history of putting its own spin on Android, and that has been no different with its Galaxy S21 lineup.

The full Android 12 experience officially landed last month with the launch of Google’s Pixel 6 lineup. Several manufacturers have since released Android 12 betas for their devices, including Samsung, Asus, and OnePlus.
